We can't wait to welcome you to our city! As Raleigh natives, Catherine and Chris are your go-to couple for input on where to eat, drink and play while you're in town. The best place to start when learning about our special city is of course, WALTER Magazine. Look for the bride’s byline!

Poole's
Our “last meal” can be found at Raleigh staple Poole’s Diner: Bibb lettuce salad, chicken liver pâté, roasted chicken and the macaroni au gratin.
Figulina
We absolutely adore Figulina! Owners Sam and Dave make you feel right at home with their hospitality and freshly made pasta. We always order the market lettuces and carbonara—you should too!
Goodberry's Frozen Custard
We think the best kind of date is an ice cream date, especially at Goodberry's!
Chris' order: Mint chocolate chip Carolina concrete with hot fudge and three cherries.
Catherine's order: Vanilla Carolina concrete with strawberries and oreos.
The Raleigh Wine Shop
Grab a bottle to go or sit down with a glass and cheese board—this is Catherine's go-to with her girls!
The Bend Bar
Meet up at The Bend! We love this spot for beers with friends and a delicious sandwich or snack from adjacent
State of Beer.
State Farmers Market
Enjoy a Southern breakfast at the North Carolina Farmers Market restaurant or peruse the produce and product inside and out. Pro tip: Grab an orangeade inside for a refreshing treat! We always get a container of boiled peanuts to go with our orangeades from Nancy Jo's Homemade.
North Carolina Museum of Art
About 10 minutes from downtown and a gem of our city! Enjoy the free museum indoors or walk the trails and greenways of the beautiful museum park.
Flowers Cottage at Dix Park
Enjoy the Spring weather and see the city skyline! Dix Park has many places to explore, but Flowers Field is our favorite (and Moose's). Friends with kids in tow—visit the Gipson Play Plaza!
Benchwarmers Bagels
Best bagel in town! We recommend ordering ahead online.
The Players Retreat
A Raleigh classic with great food, “The PR” as locals call it is the best place to cheer on the N.C. State Wolfpack! Don't leave without getting an order of Mimi’s sausage dip.
The Optimist Raleigh
Grab a coffee at our neighborhood spot! Chris loves the iced mocha and Catherine loves the iced dirty chai latte. They also have fabulous breakfast sandwiches on locally made English muffins.
Woody's @ City Market
This is one of our favorite spots to watch sports or grab some bar food! Known for their wings, we love the kickin' garlic flavor!
